Description: The TE01 Automator™ is designed specifically for haunted attractions. It enables you to run a short sequence of events automatically, with no operator intervention. The sequence can be triggered by a switch (such as infra-red or switchmat), or it can be run as a continuous loop.

Operation Overview: The TE01 Automator™ has 4 outlets. Plug up to 1800 watts of lighting, motors and/or relays into each outlet. Adjust the 4 knobs on the front from 1 to 10 seconds, according to your needs. Set the REPEAT switch to OFF.

When the GO button is pushed, outlet #1 will be turned on, and will stay on for the number of seconds set on knob #1. When theat itime is up, #1 will go out and #2 will come on, and will stay on for the number of seconds set on knob #2. Ditto for #3 and #4. When #4 is done, everything turns off and stays off until the GO button is pressed again, repeating the process.

On the rear of the Automator™ is a set of terminals labeled REMOTE GO. If a momentary switch such as a mat or infra-red relay is connected to these terminals via zip cord or speaker wire, this switch will duplicate the actions of the GO button. So a switchmat can be used to trigger the sequence, instead of a manual push of the GO button.

After the sequence has been initiated (with either the GO button or the REMOTE GO), additional triggering is ignored, until the 4 channel sequence has completely ended. Therefore, should you choose to use a switchmat as your trigger (GO), the sequence will begin as soon as the mat is first stepped on, and subsequent stepping on the mat will have no effect. Should you wish to stop the sequence prematurely, the STOP button can be pressed. The STOP button will turn everything off immediately, regardless of chat channel number the sequence is currently on, and the next push of the GO button (or step on the switchmat) will begin the sequence all over again.

Should you wish to use only 2 or 3 channels, simply turn the knobs for the unused channels to their lowest setting (fully counter-clockwise).

Should you wish the sequence to automatically repeat on a continual basis, set the REPEAT switch to ON. Now, when channel #4 is done, #1 will immediately come on, and the sequence will be repeated over and over , until the STOP button is pressed.

Examples for use:

#1. Your haunted attraction is walk-through, and your customers are sent through in groups. The group enters Dracula's Cave, triggering the Automator by passing through an infra-red beam. Channel #1 turns on a fog machine (you have the remote switch wired to a relay) for 3 seconds. #2 is a blue light that dimly lights the room. #3 is a spotlight that comes on as Dracula sits up and speaks. #4 is a strobelight that chases the group out of the room.

#2. Your haunted attraction is a continuous walk-through (no groups). In one setion you have a motor driving a sawblade, sawing off a dummy's leg (#1 - 3 seconds); a strobelight comes on as blood squirts and the leg shakes violently (#2 - 8 seconds); then a huge spider squirts blood at the patrons (#3 - 3 seconds), #4 is set to 10 seconds but there's nothing plugged into it. It's simply a pause before the whole sequence starts again.
