Why The Additional Cost On Some Items?

It costs UPS and FedEx extra to handle and transport a box that contains hazardous materials (flammables, explosives, etc.) and these costs are passed on to you, the user of this service. It is important to note that the haz surcharge is "per carton", not "per item", therefore you should consolidate haz items in your orders as much as possible. (That is, try to order all of your haz products at one time.) Hazmat fees are displayed when viewing the contents of your shopping cart on the Web site, or also found in the price list codes A,B,D,E and H if you have a print catalog.

Note: You pay only one surcharge per outer carton, regardless of the quantity of hazardous items that are contained in that carton. If you order an assortment of items, you will be charged the highest applicable surcharge. The surcharge includes our documentation fee.
